Manufacturer Distributor, Inc (mdi) is looking to add a Inside Sales Representative / Product Specialist with strong customer service skills to our growing team NW of Tampa! No cold calling, we provide the leads. We have been listed in the top 5,000 growing companies in the US 4 years in a row. We have specialized in providing customers with industrial product solutions, including compressed air: air compressors, pipe, hose reels; vacuum pumps, pneumatic tools and firefighting equipment. If you have previous experience with handling incoming calls and high closure rates, we are the perfect fit for you!

What we can do for you!

• Expected total pay second year $55,000; this is an hourly plus commission and bonuses job
• Shift: Monday Friday; 8am-6pm

Responsibilities:

• Respond to telephone and email inquiries
• Talk to customers to determine their needs and help them select the right product
• Generate quotes to present to customers
• Follow up on quotes
• Build rapport with clients, really listen and determine their needs
• Achieve monthly sales goals

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required; higher education preferred
• Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields required
• Excellent people and phone skills
• Negotiation and closing skills
• Deadline driven and detail-oriented
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and a CRM system
• Must be able to type a minimum of 30 wpm
• Good understanding of basic math and percentages
