Full description of the position

We are actively seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Structural Steel Take-off Specialist. Our company, with a rich history in Omaha dating back to 1940, is a renowned structural steel fabricator. This role involves managing structural steel take-offs and engaging with contractors to drive job sales.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in construction management or a related field.
  • Preferred experience in structural steel fabrication and/or erection.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Previous project management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly review contract drawings and specifications.
  • Collaborate with detailers to ensure accuracy in shop drawings.
  • Coordinate material orders, job scheduling, and shop drawing reviews.
  • Oversee drawing revisions and communicate pricing adjustments to the accounting team.
  • Consult with current and potential clients to understand their needs and propose suitable solutions.
  • Foster enduring relationships with vendors and clients.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Positive and team-oriented attitude.
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to interpret both structural and architectural drawings.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Solid grasp of general construction principles.
