INSIDE SALES/CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE:

Celebrations! Party Rentals and Tents is one of the area's largest party rental companies currently looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team of professionals. All positions present an opportunity for growth and development with the ability to turn your job into a career.

To plan small-scale events from planning to production stage. Recommend rental equipment and accessories to assist client in meeting their event needs. Communicate the rental equipment and services contracted to all department managers to ensure all details of the event are covered. An inside sales representative will work cooperatively with outside sales and other members of the team to grow existing customers, create new customers and increase customer satisfaction. The primary function of an inside sales representative is to communicate with customers via telephone and/or email to build quotations on standard products and services, write orders and communicate pertinent information to customers or vendors. Must have customer service experience and be detailed oriented. Professionalism and computer literacy is required.

Job duties:

  • Primarily responsible for assisting clients to plan small and large scale events
  • Maintain proficiency in using multi-line telephones, personal computer, data entry terminal and other common office equipment and software for purposes of entering quotations and orders
  • Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors
  • Generate new and repeat sales by providing product information in a timely manner
  • Determine customer event rental needs and expectations in order to recommend specific products and services
  • Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items
  • Contact and follow up with customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction, increase awareness of new products, and to resolve any complaints or concerns
  • Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock rental items and work directly with warehouse manager to communicate specific customer expectations in order to minimize re-deliveries or customer dissatisfaction
  • Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the event production team
  • Avoid overbooking by communicating with written and verbal details
  • Assist in maintaining and updating price list/brochure/catalog as needed
  • Provide written event price estimates according to established procedures
  • Prepare contract and obtain signature and deposit.
  • Produce a computer-generated layout of event
  • Network with other industry professionals
  • Maintain open communication with management and make recommendations for purchase of new inventory items
  • Keep sales floor clean, properly stocked and displayed
  • Fill in for other positions, when necessary, for smooth operation of the business.
  • Full participation in training sessions, meetings, skill and team building and professional development classes
  • Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock rental items and work directly with warehouse manager to communicate specific customer expectations in order to minimize redelivery or customer dissatisfaction
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form.
  • Assist with counter personnel duties

Qualifications and Requirements for Inside Sales Representative:

  • Must maintain a professional personal appearance
  • Must possess sales and customer relation skills
  • Weekend availability-Willing to work Saturday's from 9am-5pm
  • 2 years of sales experience in a customer service atmosphere
  • Fully computer literate (Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Ability to learn and remain calm and focused under pressure
  • Must be able to use mathematics to solve problems
  • Computer knowledge is preferred. Training on rental software will be provided
  • Must be able to speak English clearly and write legibly. The ability to speak other languages is a plus
  • Have an interest in assisting in designing events and weddings
  • Works well with others
  • Self-motivated and quick learner
  • Event industry experience preferred but not required
  • Organized, self-disciplined and professional in demeanor
  • Able to bring professional and successful closure to difficult projects
  • Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
  • Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.
  • Must have a full range of motion and dexterity.
  • Must be able to understand and follow instructions furnished in written, oral and scheduled form and pass them on to personnel.
  • Maintain a cooperative working relationship with co-workers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
