OVERVIEW:

The Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR) will be responsible for improving the business success of our customers through face-to-face contact and knowledge of their operation and needs. The primary objective of the PSSR is to build relationships and establish a true partnership that will make our customers more successful by anticipating and/or recognizing their needs and supplying parts, small equipment and setting up service for their equipment. This position will be based out of Sioux Falls, SD.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the coverage, retention, development, and customer satisfaction within your assigned territory.
• Responsible for selling parts, service, and small whole goods within your assigned territory.
• Utilize CRM program to track customer visits, prepare quotes, and organize time.
• Work with the PSSR Manager to develop territory and promote General Equipment and Supplies Inc.
• Work with parts department, service department and territory salesman to keep customers up and running efficiently.
• Identify new customers within assigned territory to promote GES growth.
• Perform the necessary functions required for machine or equipment service and/or parts quotes i.e. undercarriage evaluations, G.E.T evaluations, fit ups, record keeping, and recommendations.
• Attend educational and training programs covering company policies, department objectives, products services and programs, professional salesmanship and personal growth.
• Responsible for keeping accurate expense records and submitting them weekly.
• Ability to balance the business needs and goals of the company while looking out for the best interests of our customers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• A background in construction, aggregate and/or heavy construction equipment is recommended but not required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in sales, service, heavy construction or product support.
• An above average computer comfort level and willingness to learn Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, CRM program and GES business software.
• Requires a valid drivers license and the ability to maintain an insurable driving record.
• Must have a positive mental attitude.
• Must have excellent customer service skills, both internal and external customers.
• Be personable, highly motivated, reliable, ethical, and able to adapt to all forces around them, customers, suppliers, coworkers, and manufacturers.
• Attain short and long-term objectives through good time management and planning.
• Strong interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills.
• Organizational skills with ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
• Travel for training to develop an expertise in all areas of GES products offered.
