We are a growing and well-established woman owned Rockville, MD based Office Furniture and Interior Modular Construction dealer specializing in commercial, healthcare, government, and higher education environments. With primary manufacturer lines such as Herman Miller (furniture) and DIRTT (architectural walls), along with 200+ other manufacturers, Bialek creates inspiring workplaces across various industries.
About You: We are searching for an experienced and energetic Government Healthcare Sales Representative who will be responsible for managing and growing GSA/Federal Government business within the Mid-Atlantic area. This person will be the clients key contact for all business transactions. They will work with a team to secure both product and service contracts, assist with strategic and tactical issues, and to provide a leadership role on all major new business initiatives. Responsibilities:
- Skilled at identifying and qualifying prospective clients
- Contact new, existing and prospective clients to identify needs and generate new opportunities
- Put Bialeks design team and installation expertise to work helping clients create cost-effective solutions
- Be the voice in the government healthcare community and drive sales by raising Bialeks profile with end users, as well as with key influencers such as designers, architects, general contractors, and developers
- Actively engage in business development activities throughout the local healthcare and government community, attending a variety of events including those targeted at end users, design, construction and real estate professionals
- Lead showroom tours and act as the go-to presenter, familiar with all sales tools including case studies and project presentations
- Monitor progress of projects from start to finish, including attending construction meetings, to ensure complete client satisfaction
- Maintain client/prospect lists using Bialeks CRM; following up to maintain relationships
Qualifications:
- 3+ years Government Sales Experience; experience with capital goods
- Strong relationships in Government Healthcare (DoD, DHA, VA , etc.)
- Understanding of Government Healthcare account structures and procurement processes
- Good understanding of government contracts, RFPs and standard bid requests
- Must be skilled in managing all aspects of business (prospecting, qualifying, developing, and closing) utilizing effective time management techniques
- Knowledge and understanding of the Architectural Design cycle, and where our solutions fall in the design cycle, is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere ensuring efficiency of projects from start to finish
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong listening skills both in person and via telephone
- Ability to deal with highly complex sales issues
- Must be persistent, responsive, flexible, intelligent, competitive, proactive, confident and detail oriented
- Experience selling contract furniture and/or related capital goods and services a plus
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM
- BS/BA Degree required
Physical Demands: This position requires long times of sitting, standing and walking, must be able to drive to client locations.
