Route Sales Representatives

As a Route Sales Representative, you are in charge of selling and merchandising Tortilla Kings complete line of quality products which include Mama Lupes tortillas, chips and salsa to existing and new accounts while driving a Tortilla King Truck. This position requires a Class C driver's license and DOT Medical Card. The successful candidate will be at least 21 years old and have at least a High School Diploma or GED. • Retail sales experience
• Retail management experience
• Field sales experience
• Territory sales experience

Prior success in sales and retail is important because you will work closely with retail management teams at local stores and will have continuous contact with customers.

What will you actually do? During the course of a normal workday, you'll be driving a truck over an established route to deliver and sell products. This involves:

• Writing orders by computer, collecting money, and obtaining signatures on receipts
• Using a hand dolly to unload products from the delivery truck
• Taking outdated stock off store shelves, write store credits and bring the outdates back to the warehouse
• Setting up displays and/or promotions in stores
• Ensuring target goals are maintained for sales, waste and safety
• Analyzing situations accurately and taking effective action

It's a physical job. The ability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods is essential. This position is classified as "medium work" and involves frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
