Kaimuki Ace Hardware is a retail hardware store providing helpful customer service, processing and closing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently. It all began in 1955 when we were established as a small store on Waialae Avenue.

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Hardware Associate. As a Hardware Associate, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers with their hardware needs. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for sales of hardware and home improvment products, and/or outdoor power equipment.

Duties:

- Assist customers in finding the right hardware products and provide product recommendations

- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction

- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking shelves and arranging displays

- Process sales transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system

- Stay up-to-date on the latest hardware products and industry trends

- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals

Skills:

- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell and cross-sell products

- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively

- Proficiency in operating a cash register and handling cash transactions

- Knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems

- Bilingual skills (multilingual) are a plus, as it allows for effective communication with diverse customers

- Experience in Paint, Plumbing, Electrical, Lawn & Garden, Outdoor Power equipment sales is preferred but not required

- Strong organizational skills to maintain an orderly sales floor

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
