We are the largest company supplying North America and Europe with authentically milled and heat treated yakisugi, controlling the entire manufacturing process from our forests in Japan to your walls.
Position
We have an immediate opening for an INSIDE SALES SPECIALIST who is reliable, punctual, and a go-getter with a positive attitude. The primary task is to support customers throughout North America with unique wood cladding products and practices.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries and support customer project needs.
- Prepare detailed transactional work including quotations, sample orders, and planning logistics.
- Prepare and review job orders for projects before submittal to production.
- Develop relationships with customers.
- Follow-up on leads.
- Willingness to grow and learn.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in an office environment doing sales or office support.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
- Experience with CRM, ERP, and other productivity software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proven work history of punctuality and attendance.
- Objective honesty, high ethical standards, and a focus on producing accurate transactional work.
- Passion for the value of beautiful and sustainable wood products, and authentic long-term interest in both wood and construction technology. Candidates should have authentic ethical interest in building materials with low carbon footprint, low maintenance needs, and other sustainable sales points.
Preferred Experience
- Japanese language fluency, both written and verbal.
- Transactional business to consumer (B2C) sales.
- Experience with Odoo CRM and ERP.
- Bachelors degree.
Hours
Office hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Hours for this position are negotiable. This is not a hybrid or remote position.
Location
Northeast Portland near the airport.
Starting Wage
$22.00 to $26.00 per hour. Non-commission position. No cold calls.
