Salary + commission + expenses+++. Direct Sales is a well-established company that was founded in 1938, there have been 4 owners and 2 name changes in the 85 plus years of tenure. The current owner has owned Direct Sales for 24 years. The area has recently been vacated by a person that handled the area for 4 years with well-established accounts, ready to be grown. We prefer (not mandatory) this person live in the Puget Sound area as that is where the largest customer base is. The responsibility is the State of Washington (except SW Washington), the Panhandle of Idaho and possibly Alaska. We are a manufacturers rep company, with primary responsibility to construction equipment rental companies like Star Rentals, United Rentals and many more. We are also responsible for the construction equipment dealers and contractor supply stores as our 3 primary channels of business. The right person must be disciplined and able to work independently from their home.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years experience selling to the wholesale market preferably the construction equipment rental industry and/or the contractor supply store industry. This person will travel their area and know customers with face to face selling. Our industry is relationship oriented, personal connection is a must. We believe in the Chris Voss philosophy that communication is done as 7% is words we chose, 38% is the tone we use those words and 55% by the body language it's delivered with.
