Chef Relationship Manager Job Description

Classification: Exempt

Department: Chef Partnerships & Operations

Reports To: COO

Compensation: $50,000-$70,000

Job Summary:

The Chef Relationship Manager at Lish is instrumental in shaping and maintaining the symbiotic relationships between Lish and our diverse array of chef partners. The individual will be responsible for onboarding, managing, and strengthening partnerships, ensuring both the chefs success and Lishs commitment to delivering innovative dining experiences to our clients.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Guide cross-departmental teams on chef-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Build Chef Relationships:

  • Cultivate and strengthen relations with Chef Partners.
  • Communicate changes and new offerings.
  • Measure chef satisfaction and conduct regular meetings.
  • Conduct surveys to enhance business relationships.

Own Our Chef Accounts and Product Catalog:

  • Collaborate with Customer Success teams for product catalog completeness and enhancements.
  • Maintain active chef accounts and ensure accurate product catalog data.
  • Negotiate pricing of existing packages with chef partners.
  • Increase next day delivery opportunities.

Chef Onboarding

  • Spearhead the expansion of our Chef and Restaurant Partner base, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
  • Develop menu packages that fulfill clients' dietary and budgetary needs and reflect chefs signature cuisines.
  • Generate leads for potential chef/restaurant partnerships.
  • Continuously optimize and refine our acquisition processes for scalability.

Chef Operations and Performance Management:

  • Establish chef performance standards.
  • Communicate order issues and work with partners to mitigate chef-related order discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Delivery Operations Manager and Customer Success Managers for cost-effective delivery methods.

Chef Communications:

  • Serve as the main liaison for chef partners.
  • Ensure chefs are equipped with necessary resources and information.
  • Author and update partner collateral.

Calculate Chef Payments:

  • Weekly computation of chef adjustments and orders.
  • Collaborate with Lish accounting for punctual chef payments.

Required Skills:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food and hospitality industry.
  • Proficient in using CRM software, Google Workspace, and other related tools.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, telephones, printers, and photocopy machines.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Periodic local travel may be required for meetings with chefs or on-site visits.

Work Environment:

  • This is a hybrid role, requiring both remote work and on-site presence at Lish's main office in Seattle. The individual should be flexible to adapt to both environments and must be prepared for regular in-person meetings with chef partners.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
