Applied Maintenance Supplies and Solutions LLC, a division of Applied Industrial Technologies, is a leading value-added national distributor of Class C Maintenance, Repair, Operating, and Production (MROP) products. Applied MSS specializes in fasteners, cutting tools, paints, chemicals, fluid flow, and safety servicing almost every industry.
At Applied Maintenance Supplies and Solutions (MSS), the Account Manager role has an immediate impact on our customers, on our company performance, and on personal earnings.
Position Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for maintaining an established book of business while opening new business. Use our handheld technology to manager customers inventory (VMI) and sell new products. You will be responsible for calling on engineers, maintenance, purchasing and others using your consultative selling approach to learn about your customers' applications and needs.
- Achieve sales and profit goals by developing existing customers, opening new business and customer retention.
- Prepare quotations and proposals, follow up and negotiate terms, and close transactions
- Conduct sales and service activities, develop strong customer relationships, identify product applications, and introduce new products and services
- Be strategic, extremely organized, and technologically savvy in your approach to managing your sales territory.
- Process and expedite orders, customer returns and returns to vendors in an accurate and timely manner with efficiency in vendor follow up to ensure timely delivery.
- Product demonstration sessions for customers, survey market and competitive conditions
- Complete reports regarding itineraries, expenses, sales calls, leads and other related reports
Position Requirements
- Proven Outside Sales within the industrial marketplace preferred
- Ability and desire to quickly learn new processes and systems
- Self-motivated & aggressive in sales tactics and strategies; desire to close sales!
- Mechanically inclined
- Bachelors Degree/Equivalent experience may be substituted for degree requirement
- Computer proficiency including MS office

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
