Full description of the position

Sales/Estimating

• Hardwood and flooring covering outside sales position in Memphis and surrounding areas.
• 3-4 years or more experience in flooring or residential or commercial construction sales but will train the right individual.
• Experience with some or all of the following: solid and engineered hardwood flooring, sanding and finishing, carpet, vinyl and tile helpful
• Understanding floor and subfloor moisture issues desirable
• Skill or experience assisting customers before, during, and after job completion to satisfy customer needs.
• Experience in selling goods or services to individual retail customers as well as general contractors.
• Create estimates for customer projects; follow up with customer to close the sale; help monitor job progress and job revisions
• Skill or experience with negotiation, price management and job site management
• Experience or knowledge identifying pipelines for new business growth
• Skill at using mental reasoning or research to gain insight into or solve problems.
• Skill or experience in account management for repeat business.
• Proficiency in the Spanish language a plus but not required.

Water Damage Restoration:

• Assess drying needs after water damage to home or other facility
• Create and document a drying plan
• Load the work vehicle with equipment, products, and supplies needed for each project.
• Set up materials equipment for all work activities on each project
• Monitor job site for drying progress toward goals
• Set up and break down job equipment
• Understand, follow and perform safety guidelines

Personal character and experience:

• Strong verbal communication skills
• High school diploma/GED
• IICRC certifications preferred: structural drying
• Experience in cleaning/restoration preferred
• Construction Experience

Water Damage Restoration General requirements:

• Memphis area work
• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Driving a commercial vehicle
• Ability to work on a ladder
• Repetitive lifting, carrying and positioning equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
