Position Overview:
The Business Development Specialist will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our business through strategic partnerships, market analysis, and client relationship management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of market trends and opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities and trends.
- Analyze competitor strategies and market dynamics to inform business development strategies.
- Devise campaigns to increase service and product awareness, sales, and profits.
- Identify and evaluate potential business partners, alliances, and collaborations.
- Initiate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to expand the company's network.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with the Estimating team to develop compelling proposals and presentations.
- Act as the face of the company for external, internal, and partner sales teams.
- Create programs aimed at driving brand loyalty among customers.
- Determine and effectively communicate the value delivered by products/services throughout customer operations to promote new sales.
- Proactively engage in and absorb all training sessions and adhere to established processes.
- Participate in various initiatives across multiple departments, collaborating effectively with administrative staff and department managers.
- Assist in the hiring process, training, and supervision of business development assistants/associates.
- Prepare monthly updates and reports for management based on web analytics, customer feedback, and office marketing needs.
- Engage in constant research and development of current and new marketing tools.
- Track and analyze sales activity in real-time.
- Support activities related to identifying, creating, and submitting solicitations for upcoming contracts and projects.
- Research organizations and individuals to discover new opportunities related to government contracts.
- Maintain a strong understanding of products and services, innovating new ways to serve businesses.
- Continuously build and analyze project results according to department requirements, focusing on trends, performance metrics, and benchmarking.
- Provide support for new or ongoing projects, including design, implementation, training, and follow-up as needed.
- Develop processes and procedures related to Quality Management System (QMS) within the respective department.
- Work with the team to educate and guide on matters related to federal, commercial, and educational contracting.
- Be an integral part of various initiatives spanning multiple departments, collaborating effectively with administrative staff and department managers.
- Provide support for additional tasks as needed in the office.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
- Fast typing skills (WPM > 50) with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong reading and writing skills.
- Strong understanding of market trends and competitive landscapes.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong customer service skills
- Comfortable handling phone calls and maintaining professional communication.
- Good memory and attention to detail in handling project documentation.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools and software.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic work environment.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM tools.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
