Advanced Structural Technologies (AST) is an industry leading manufacturer of rotary forged and spin formed products for the space, automotive and defense markets. In this market we make parts that support designers and builders of engines, fuel transfer and fuel storage for rockets, satellites, and more. Products are custom designed to customer requirements; our sales process is consultative with the goal of rapidly clarifying and promptly responding to customer inquiries.
This position is on-site in Oxnard and is responsible for supporting, and organizing information for, the companys business development efforts. This position works with customers as well as members of business development, marketing and engineering.
Located in Ventura County, AST is in the Gateway to Californias Central Coast, located 60 miles northwest of Los Angeles and 2 miles from the Pacific Ocean and Californias Pacific Coast Highway.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports the Director of Business Development in developing quotes and tracking opportunities from initial contact through sale and communicating with customers.
Summarizes opportunity details in internal reporting tools, tracks milestones.
Provides status to customers and colleagues on milestones. Sends reminders for missing items, checks status, highlights upcoming deadlines.
Validates new and updated Purchase Orders, works with customers to resolve minor discrepancies between quote and Purchase Order.
Monitors customer emails and portals for updated information, receives, routes and flags changes to internal constituents.
SKILLS:
Bachelor Degree in a relevant field of study required.
2+ years of experience in a customer-facing B2B sales, technical support or marketing position.
Capable of utilizing all Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams); Adobe Acrobat; Zoom; and customers web portals.
Interest in the space industry, metal forging or manufacturing, and comfort with mechanical drawings and 3D models is a plus.
REQUIRES:
Ability to function in a busy environment of multiple requests, deadlines and changing priorities;
Reliable and dependable presence in the office;
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work well with people of diverse backgrounds in person, on the phone, via email, text, & etc.;
Willingness to ask questions, solve problems, and learn.
US Citizenship required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
