Position Summary:

Chattanooga Boiler & Tank (CBT) is looking to add a motivated and energetic, Inside Sales Rep to our growing company. The ideal candidate will deliver excellent customer service over the phone and through email to our existing customers, as well as new potential customers. This position requires the applicant to have a seeker mentality. The goal is to produce new, qualified leads and pass them along to our Estimating team, as well as maintain conversations with existing customers.

The selected applicant will have the opportunity for career advancement within our Sales and Estimating Department. This will be achieved by learning the storage tank industry, markets, terminology, welding process, as well as cost, pricing, and profitability.

This is an in-person, full-time role located at our Chattanooga, TN office. The incumbent will be paid at an hourly rate with commission earning potential in addition to hourly rate

Job Duties

• Field incoming inquiries (phone and email) and make appropriate determination if work will fit CBTs scope and schedule. Ultimately passing along qualified leads to our Estimators.
• Provide excellent customer service to all New and Existing customers.
• Prospecting calls and emails to both New and Existing customers.
• Follow up on Quoted jobs throughout the bid process, until award.
• Work with Estimators to retrieve vendor quotes as required.
• Attend Sales Meetings as required.
• Additional work responsibilities as required by management.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Construction Management or Business, or currently pursuing a bachelors degree in construction management or business.
• Exceptional Customer Service skills! This position will be the first contact.
• Exceptional organization skills.
• Understanding of Welding processes is a plus.
• Previous experience in construction, construction sales, metal supply sales, safety supply sales, or welding/gas sales.
• Computer Skills with Microsoft Office program.
• Ability to learn and use a complex, multi-extension office phone system.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
