We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join us as an Account Manager in the Memphis, TN and surrounding markets to call on AWG grocery retailers to build their packaging and supplies program. As a crucial member of our team, you will play a key role in building and nurturing strong relationships with our valued customers while driving sales growth in your designated territory.

We offer competitive compensation packages that include a base salary ranging from $55,000-$65,000, potential for sales volume bonuses, and annual profit-sharing opportunities. Additionally, we will provide you with a company laptop, cell phone and car, plus our comprehensive benefits packages ensure your overall well-being.

Responsibilities of the Account Manager include but are not limited to:

• Grow an existing book of business and sell our program to new accounts within the AWG membership.
• Provide solutions for grocery stores and food processors on their packaging and supplies needs.
• Work with a collaborative team to reach sales goals and stay abreast of industry changes and product introductions.
• Maintain an accurate customer account list, and engage in regular contact with customers in your assigned territory through in-person meetings, phone calls, and emails, establishing strong rapport and becoming the primary point of contact.
• Actively pursue new accounts, identify opportunities, and diligently follow up with contacts.
• Conduct weekly pre-planning and provide recaps of customer visits.
• Maintain or exceed assigned sales volume and profit margin, and keep up to date with changes in the industry.
• Provide assistance in the formulation and implementation of marketing and sales strategies.
• Help to develop and execute strategic sales plans, promoting the full range of company products and services.

Experience:

• Proven experience in sales or account management role
• Prior grocery or convenience store sales a plus
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively negotiate and close deals
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Self-motivated and results-oriented mindset
