Job Summary

The Sales Associate is a licensed producer appointed by Avera Health Plans to serve as the primary sales contact for Avera Health Plans products and services. The Sales Associate is responsible for the building, developing, and managing agent distribution channel for the purpose of promoting and selling Avera Health Plans consumer products. The Sales Associate is expected to provide input into new product design and sales and marketing strategies and to maintain compliance with consumer product requirements. The Sales Associate is to be a positive support to the sales team, to provide excellent service to current clients and to meet/exceed the goals established and communicated for production and retention.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelors degree from four year college or university is preferred.
• One to two years of related experience and/or training is preferred.

Certification, Licensure and/or Registration

• This position requires a valid drivers license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
• Active SD Health and Life License is required, or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.

Work Schedule

• Monday Friday
• Day Shift with possible evening and weekend involvement
