PROVIDER ENGAGEMENT ACCOUNT MANAGER KEY ACCOUNTS

Overview
Our client is seeking to add a Provider Engagement Account Manager for Key Accounts to their growing team of highly skilled professionals. Their commitment to ensuring that appropriate and timely healthcare services are provided to the underserved communities, guides their purpose in all endeavors.
This opportunity is a business development position designed to cultivate and grow relationships with select contracted providers. This position serves as a liaison between our organization and the provider and is responsible for the accomplishment of both healthcare and business objectives as established for each key account.
The Provider Engagement Account Manager, Key Accounts reports to the NY Director of
Network Management with accountability for providing strategy, judgment, organization, and evidenced-based analysis to influence decisions, and directly meet our clients goals.
This position will coordinate interaction between our client and key practices in the
Downstate New York market. Interaction will include, but not be limited to, practice
transformation, care management, quality improvement, membership growth (including
Health Home penetration), system integration, SDOH referrals, contract compliance, and
budget performance. Additionally, this position will be responsible for deep knowledge of
competitor programs; be they payors, other provider organizations, or other third parties, to
assure that our client remains competitive with its offerings and support.
The Provider Engagement Account Manager will monitor progress through the establishment of a Joint Operating Committee (JOC) that will be convened periodically with each provider account, but no less than quarterly to review progress against key objectives. The JOC will be comprised of clinical and administrative leaders from both the providers practice and our client. To facilitate discussion and evaluation of progress at the JOC this position will be responsible for obtaining and distributing reports that capture performance against key objectives.
The Provider Engagement Account Manager is responsible for the development and maintenance of account project plans and updates to support our ability to track progress. It is expected that this leader will advise responsible parties in both organizations when corrective action is called for and will request strategies and actions to address shortfalls in provider performance.
Job Responsibilities
The Provider Engagement Account Manager, Key Accounts will have the following responsibilities:
- Develop a mutually acceptable set of goals and objectives for each key account by product line offering (e.g. Medicaid, Medicare, ACO REACH, PACE, MAPP/DSNP, MSO)
- Plan, execute, and manage account plans and projects through a collaborative effort with both our client and Key Accounts
- Provide regular updates, respond to inquiries, and address key account concerns in a timely manner.
- Manage Joint Operating Committee Meetings
- Assure that our clients internal resources and priorities are aligned with key account objectives and advise leadership where there is an opportunity for improvement
- Conduct market analysis and evaluate competitors ' practices and market status
- Develop plans to displace competition
- Maintain complete familiarity and knowledge of products and services provided across the organizaation.
- Add value by conveying useful industry, government, and practice innovation trends and initiatives.
- Maintain and update key account contact records
- Assure team selling efforts are in place and coordinated for Health Home and payer membership growth
- Assure Key Account satisfaction
- Meet or exceed individual key account P+L objectives
General Duties
The Provider Engagement Account Manager, Key Accounts shall have the following duties:
- Leadership: Lead in defining and executing strategies and solutions to create business value in assigned area, including identifying and collaborating with key team members to design, develop, and execute those strategies and solutions to deliver desired outcomes.
- Strategy: Establish the business strategy and roadmap: (1) improve outcomes for our client members; (2) enhance the efficacy of other our client business divisions; and (3) develop and deliver external market opportunities for our client products and services. In establishing the business strategy, the Provider Engagement Account
- Manager, Key Accounts will be an active participant in defining and contributing to the innovation of sustainable revenue models to drive profitability for the Company.
- Collaboration: Ensure that provider account management and servicing capabilities form a cohesive offering, including working closely with other business divisions to learn their needs, internalize their knowledge, and define solutions to achieve the overall business objectives of the organization.
- Knowledge: Provide subject matter expertise in account management solutions, including determining and recommending approaches for provider engagement, relationship management, information sharing, education, solution deployment, and performance evaluation.
- Culture: Is accountable for creating a productive, collaborative, safe, and inclusive work environment for the Provider Network team and as part of the larger Company.
Qualifications
The Provider Engagement Account Manager, Key Accounts should have the following
qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in business administration or other management related field;
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in managed care or other healthcare related relationship management position(s). Appreciation for details with ability to read and understand provider contracts;
- Entrepreneurial: The organization seeks to fix gaps that have persisted for generations in the delivery of care to all under serviced populations. This position is accountable for ensuring the organization is positioned to innovatively deliver on its promise by influencing stakeholders and working closely with them to determine acceptable outcomes;
- Communication. Experience giving detailed reports and presentations.
- Competency in using computer software to facilitate presentations and reporting.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills;
- Relationships. Ability to build and effectively manage relationships with business leaders and external constituents as well as internal stakeholders and team members;
- Culture. Good judgement, impeccable ethics, and a strong team player; the desire to succeed and grow in a fast-paced, demanding, and entrepreneurial Company.Location:
This position is based in Upstate, New York and may require 3 days per week in-office.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
