About us

McTavish Shortbread LLC is a well-established wholesale cookie manufacturer selling shortbread cookies to grocery stores, coffee shops, and other retailers. We recently moved into a newer and bigger location in northeast Portland, OR and are expanding our offering.

Wholesale Bakery - Account Manager / Sales

McTavish Shortbread, a well-established wholesale cookie manufacturer, has expanded into a new and bigger location in northeast Portland. We are currently seeking a professional to join our sales team. This position will be responsible for managing existing accounts and seeking new sales for continued revenue and profit growth. You will communicate directly with grocery stores, coffee shops, gift stores, etc.

The ability to cultivate relationships, identify opportunities for sales growth and manage key customer accounts is a must. This position will partner closely with our sales team, president, and operations manager to set priorities and formulate the best overall approach to sell our product. You will develop relationships and partnerships with key customers, acting as a consultant and solution provider, helping them to be successful in selling our products.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Contact current accounts using CRM to maintain and grow sales
• Offer / introduce new or seasonal products to wholesale customers
• Provide input in the development of sales plans
• Identify potential customers and revenue through corporate accounts
• Work with sales to develop web content and communication for retail business

Experience, Skills, Knowledge Required:

• 1-2 years of experience in account management or sales related field
• Confident and self-motivated to drive business
• Proven success in team environment a must
• Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively
• A self-starter with initiative and good intuition
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or as a team
• Basic knowledge of grocery industry a plus
• Computer skills on most Microsoft Office applications required
• Experience with an ERP and CRM is a plus

Base salary is $38,000 with an additional sales commission

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
