Position: Inside Sales Representative

Job Type: Full-time

Work Location: This role is 100% onsite at 4565 Reid Rd, Elon, NC 27244.

The Role: As an Inside Sales Representative at WORD Rock Drills, you will oversee customer accounts and order entry. Your responsibilities include assisting customers with lead times, processing orders, expediting deliveries, handling order changes, and creating customer quotes. Success in this role is defined by achieving sales targets within schedule and maintaining strong customer relationships. You may travel up to 25% for trade shows and client meetings. If you excel in a fast-paced environment, have excellent organizational and communication skills, and are open to occasional travel, join us in delivering excellence to our customers.

Successful completion of a drug screening and background check is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Present, promote, and sell products/services to existing and prospective customers.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Production regarding the status of orders to ensure the customer delivery commitment is achieved.
  • Conduct customer follow-ups via phone, email, and cold calling campaigns
  • Fully participate and assist facilitating as needed with product training sessions, company meetings, and skills training
  • Handle cancellations or changes in sales orders and communicate changes to the appropriate departments.
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
  • Capture customer complaints with accurate and complete information.
  • Assist in other sales initiatives as needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team building skills.
  • Proven work experience as a sales representative
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of tradeshows and ability to travel for tradeshows.
  • Effective written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Should be honest, assertive, and systematic.
  • Associate degree
  • High level of Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and typing skills.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Proficient in CRM sales tool, various platforms (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
