SG Real Estate is looking to find a new member of our growing team to contribute as a full time Residential Leasing associate based out of our Berkeley, CA office. We have (4) positions available which all share the commonality of a focus on student housing. (2) openings are one-site experienced leasing agent who will be spearheading one of our exciting new Student Housing lease-ups this year; (2) openings are for a split portfolio of 2-5 smaller Berkeley student housing focused buildings. The overall goal of the Leasing Agent role is to be responsible for the day to day activities related to the Leasing Department and display teamwork with cross functional departments. Looking for some more details? Here you go
Leasing Associate Responsibilities:
Multi-site Leasing and Marketing:
- Market & lease vacant units across many different properties- writing ads, creating leasing materials, touring apartments and answering general questions
- Execute Move-in and Move-out inspections including citing necessary work needed for lease up
- Review applications, call references and complete all work for final approval
- Create resident files, both in hard copy and in the property management system (Appfolio)
- Leading and implementing creative marketing ideas to reach the student housing market, including creating fliers, Instagram campaigns and other advertising techniques intended to reach a wider platform platform
- Working with Leasing Team to create specific planned Community Connectivity Events at one-site buildings.
Inspections:
- Move-in and move-out inspections
- Regularly walk communal spaces to ensure proper upkeep and function (gym, pet wash station, etc.) and work with Property Management team to report any issues to get resolved.
Metrics and Reporting:
- Maintain current data on vacancies, potential tenants and upcoming vacancies
Customer (leads and tenants) Communication:
- Timely address and update customers on outstanding issues
- Deescalate difficult conversations
- Assist in resident relations by drafting memos to tenants
Required Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Lease up experience-minimum 1 year
- Proficient in market comp analysis-minimum 1 year
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
- Frequent standing and walking required
- Must have a personal vehicle to drive to properties in Bay Area as needed
- Must have a current and active California drivers license without a DUI.

Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree
- Working knowledge of property management software
- Current California real estate license
Work schedule: 9-5:30pm, Tuesday-Saturday. This is a non-exempt position, $26.00 - $29.00/hour + leasing bonus (starting at $50 per lease)
