Job Description:
Ware-Butler is seeking an experienced Outside Residential Salesperson for the Central to Southern Maine region. The ideal candidate will collaborate with commercial residential building contractors to generate outside business as well as come with possible book of business. This position offers a competitive salary, company vehicle, compensation growth potential, and the opportunity to join a growing Building Supply Company integrated with the largest sawmill manufacturer in Maine.

Responsibilities:

• Promote, sell, and secure new accounts for the company.
• Service existing accounts with necessary products, time, and information.
• Assist in selecting products best suited to customer needs.
• Prepare, coordinate, and communicate price quotations, take-offs, terms of sales, delivery dates, and service obligations to customers/contractors professionally.
• Maintain high levels of service and quality.
• Work with local accounts, focusing on builder sales, to promote sales and resolve problems.
• Stay updated with new products and market trends.
• Collaborate with sales manager to develop consistent service levels across service areas.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company and safety policies.
• Follow guidelines to achieve sales and margin goals.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Previous knowledge and experience in the commercial construction industry, preferably at least five years.
• Previous experience selling building materials preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to perform estimates and take-offs.
• Bachelors Degree preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to increase sales and improve profitability.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance.
• Willingness to learn the Ware-Butler way and grow with our team.

Working Conditions:
The outside commercial sales position will have onsite work area but is primarily performed off-site in and may occasionally require work outdoors, exposing candidates to extreme weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

• Outside/ Commercial Contractor Sales: 3 years (Required)
• knowledge of building materials and the construction process: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• and clean Driver's License (Required)
