Full description of the position

Duties:

- Identify, qualify and develop sales opportunities with new and existing clients in person, by phone, online and with written communication.

- Foster and maintain excellent relationships with clients and prospects through regular follow-up, accurate and timely quotations and general account support.

- Obtain best coverage/rates for insureds, process quotes, and bind insurance coverage. Follow up as necessary with all documentation needed.

- Support and prepare clients for renewal and retention and maintain strong client relationships.

- Respond to and follow up on all existing client's needs.

- Assist clients with claims processing and provide support throughout the claims settlement process.

- Collaborate with team members and participate in agency functions as needed

Qualifications:

- Hold the insurance licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance.

- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or comparable work experience. - Possess a valid driver's license and a source of reliable transportation.

- Excellent communication skills to effectively explain complex insurance concepts to clients.

- Be a people-oriented, customer focused, and professionally assertive. Be a problem solver.

- Demonstrate knowledge of insurance products to effectively secure new business and maintain existing client base.

- Possess outstanding organizational skills with an ability to complete difficult assignments without supervision.

- Have excellent time management skills, thrive in a team environment and possess proficient computer skills.

- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is a plus
