Full description of the position

The Outside Sales/Estimator/Project Manager will create and build client relationships with the goal of obtain roofing projects. Facilitate the proposal process for specific clients including budget and pricing development, proposal writing, contract negotiations, and client presentations. Maintain customer relationships by providing excellent project management services and ensuring quality workmanship.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Business development and outside sales
  • Knowledge of multiple industry commercial roof systems
  • Developing a budget and price estimate using standard models
  • Communicating back to Operations Manager the outcome of the negotiations/proposals focusing on conveying the expectations set forth for each Client
  • Collaborating with Operations and Field Supervisors to evaluate project performance
  • Tracking and reporting on the status of all proposal components
  • Establishing and maintaining on-going client relationships to anticipate additional project requirements and resolve potential problems; participating in site visits/meetings
  • Performing other business and project management duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • At least two years of experience in ROOFING industry business development
  • Ability to guide and inspire others to achieve the desired outcome
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, easy to get along with
  • Experience with budgeting processes
  • Self-motivated, self-starter
