Full description of the position

We are a leading distributor of CNC machine tools and complimentary solutions covering New York, Kansas, Missouri and Southern Illinois. The primary objective of a Sales Engineer is to proactively increase machine tool sales through building and maintaining customer relationships. Daily activities will include calling on potential customers in person and by phone, assessing customer needs, conducting presentations about new solutions, and preparing quotations and closing sales.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain thorough knowledge of company products, services, and other offerings
• Develop and maintain customer relationships
• Coordinate with teammates and partners to ensure customer satisfaction
• Help meet or exceed sales goals

Qualifications:

• Two or more years of experience in sales, preferably in industrial or capital equipment; and/or two or more years of experience in a technical role within the manufacturing industry
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
• Must be organized and independent
• Familiarity with CRM is a plus, but not required
• Able to use Microsoft office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Valid drivers license
