Full description of the position

Job Overview

As an Account Representative on the inside sales team at Gemplers, youll work with warm leads and current customers to develop relationships and increase sales. Youre an outgoing team player who is comfortable picking up the phone to offer products that solve a problem for a customer. You know how to follow a clear process that generates repeatable results, but you understand that relationships and service are at the forefront of sales.

Outcomes

  • Increase average order value (AOV) and lifetime value (LTV) of your accounts.
  • Follow a repeatable process for driving sales.
  • Add new accounts from a warm lead source.
  • Assist other members of the sale team as needed (team selling approach).
  • Use sales enablement documents, a CRM, and other sales tools to manage relationships and increase sales.
  • Send quotes to customers and follow up with leads.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sales or sales-based customer service (2+ years preferred)
  • Excellent people skills, like: conversational, friendly, emotionally intelligent
  • Good grasp sales processes, tactics, and best-practices
  • Strong ability to collaborate and work as a team
  • Preferred but Not Required: Experience in the green industry (greenhouse, nursery, landscaping, turf management, etc)
  • Preferred but Not Required: sales certification (HubSpot, CPSP, etc)
  • Preferred but Not Required: CRM experience (NetSuite, Salesforce, etc)
  • Preferred but Not Required: B2B sales experience

Reports To

The Account Rep will report to the Head of Inside Sales, but will work closely with other members of the sales team. The Account Rep will also collaborate with other departments as needed, including marketing, product, customer service, and finance/operations.

Base Salary, Commission, & Benefits

This is a full-time, remote or in-person position. A majority of our team works from our office in Mt Horeb, WI (20-minutes west of Madison) or at our warehouse in Janesville, WI (45-minutes south of Madison). Your primary location will be in Mount Horeb (99% of the time).

The base salary is semi-negotiable and will likely range from $50k-$65k depending on experience. Additionally, youll be eligible for commission plans up to an additional $65k per year.
