Full description of the position

Darragh is seeking a Director of Sales to join our team in Central Arkansas. If you have management sales experience, can communicate well in written and verbal forms with internal and external customers, and can lead and motivate a sales team, then check out this opportunity. Core Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate regional and corporate goals
  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates
  • Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals; assigns sales territory and customer accounts to sales representatives
  • Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program
  • Attends meetings to present reporting on sales and gross margin dollars to plan, including potential sales, areas of success, personnel updates, and any corrective actions needed. Sales reporting that shows sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.


Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manages multiple outside sales representatives. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; assigning and directing work; appraising performance; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Travel Requirements - Expected to spend quality time weekly in each market of assigned region. This may require overnight travel in some instances.

Core Skills and Qualifications

  • One to two years related experience and training; minimum of two years management experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to lead and direct the activities and performance of sales team to achieve corporate goals while fostering quality customer and vendor relationships and growth
  • Excellent working knowledge of order processing systems, contact management systems, and Microsoft products Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to problem solve. lead by example, and coach a team to achieve excellent customer service with customers and vendors
  • Construction industry knowledge is preferred
