SUMMARY
The Automotive Inside Sales Account Manager is responsible to work as a conduit between customer service, sales, application engineering and the plants. Collaborates with all NA facilities to provide support and direction to the team. A natural leader who can be part of a team and contribute to a winning company culture. Generates profitable sales growth.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- High performing, professional salesperson.
- Must be able to generate profitable revenue growth in fine blanking/metal fabrication markets.
- Natural leader who develops, leads, and inspires professionals.
- Advocates for customers internally. Advocates for MPI externally.
- Review and provide direction (if needed) on all new POs that come in.
- 50% travel in North America.
- Liaison to Finance to work through pricing/payment issues, escalate as needed.
- Manage existing automotive accounts to secure add-on sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Drives strong part margins and efficient closure of customer commercial issues.
- Demand fluctuation or changes on current production parts through collaboration with Business Analyst.
- Extensions to current parts and contracts-review.
- Facilitate engineering changes.
- Managing customer portals, monitor for new RFQ/New orders.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Positive leadership skills. World class teaming skill. Strong communication skills.
- Experience selling in the automotive industry.
- Strong data analysis and forecasting skills.
- Ability to develop customer specific value add propositions.
- Ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Bachelors degree in a technical field.
- Strong account management background including effective negotiating skills.
