Full description of the position

Position Overview: Integrated Dynamics Engineering (IDE) Group is the worldwide leader in development of precision dynamics control systems including active and passive vibration isolation for semiconductor lithography, metrology, and inspection systems as well as scientific research markets. The company also develops specialized automation and service hardware products and platforms for demanding applications in these markets. Based in Raunheim, Germany, IDE is part of Aalberts, a EUR 3billion Dutch global manufacturer.

The Sales Engineer position will be based in Mansfield, Massachusetts and will support key accounts in the semiconductor market. This position requires strong communication, project management and commercial skills. The positions responsibilities include in office support of multinational key accounts and up to 20% travel. The position also requires the ability to communicate and work with our corporate office in Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

Understanding and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and supporting existing customer accounts.

Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.

Business development with focus on acquisition of new projects.

Price negotiations on projects including cost analysis.

Coordination of projects in close cooperation with other departments, including engineering and production.

Budgeting and forecast development with plans to exceed stated goals.

Identify new opportunities for all product lines.

Drive business application and engineering reviews to support globalbusiness growth.

Develop executive business relationships with OEM key accounts.

Required qualifications and skills:

- Completed undergraduate studies in a technology field (engineering or sciences preferred) or a business undergraduate degree plus experience within a technology company.

- Ability to gain a basic technical understanding of product line.

- Strong project management skills and follow through on actions.

- Ability to build relationships with potential clients.

- Excellent computer software skills such as Excel and PowerPoint.

- Understanding Features and Benefits of product line.

- Meeting Sales Goals.

- Prospecting skills. The ability to research potential client base.

- Closing skills. To be able to provide quotations, build customer relationships and book orders.

- People skills, offering professionalism to be able to communicate effectively with customers.
