Full description of the position

Regional Sales Manager

Education Week is seeking an experienced and motivated sales professional to fill an open Regional Sales Manager position on our Top School Jobs (TSJ) sales team. Education Weeks online job board, EdWeek Top School Jobs, connects K-12 job seekers with school districts and organizations looking to fill critical positions. The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will play a pivotal role in driving the success of TSJ, using your consultative sales expertise to deliver tailored recruitment solutions to K-12 school districts. Youll work closely with decision-makers, identify challenges, and provide innovative advertising solutions that meet their hiring needsall while contributing to EdWeeks mission of improving education. The starting salary range for this position is $67,550.00 to $75,000.00/annually, plus commission.  The potential on-target earnings (OTE) earnings up to an additional $35,000/year.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed revenue quotas and other assigned goals (e.g. weekly meeting/demo KPIs, pipeline KPIs, etc.) 
  • Develop, implement and adapt territory strategy and account plans. Document and update these plans, and corresponding activities and pipeline in Salesforce.com on a timely basis. 
  • Establish and nurture meaningful relationships with purchasing team stakeholders of prospective and existing accounts to address their specific needs
  • Identify, research and qualify opportunities from new prospects and existing clients.
  • Leverage available information sources, including CRM data, industry reporting/research, and publicly available information to tailor outreach messaging, and to identify and advance opportunities 
  • Serve as a highly effective, customer-facing ambassador with the ability to close sales, and manage client objections while providing excellent post-sale service
  • Consistently schedule and execute a volume of virtual or in-person meetings with purchasing stakeholders that meets weekly meeting KPIs 

 Qualifications and Skills

  • 6+ years consultative B2B (or equivalent) sales experience. Experience selling recruitment advertising or solutions to K-12 school districts strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of current trends in recruitment advertising, B2B sales, HR/Talent/Recruitment, and/or K-12 education, preferred 
  • Ability to develop and execute winning sales strategies that deliver measurable results.
  • Team player, with willingness to assist others, contribute to team meetings, and share expertise
  • Experience working in in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and other digital communication tools (e.g. Zoom, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Yesware). Able to leverage these and other technologies to improve effectiveness. 
  • Extremely ethical, conscientious, and a high level of integrity
