Summary:
The Regional Sales Director under the leadership of the Senior Director, GSD Sales will lead the process to consistently grow all of the Gulf States Financial Services products and services. The Regional Sales Director will work closely with the Senior Director and Vice President – Sales to assist in the formulation and implementation of effective sales and marketing strategies, innovation regarding product development, support the year over year growth, and the image and success of GSFSGroup. The Director will also consult and advise with Dealer Principal to ensure a clear understanding of all dealer participation structures and wealth building options as well as claims trends and loss ratio reviews and analysis. The Regional Sales Director will develop the District Managers to solicit and acquire new dealership accounts through aggressive sales activities and continuous improvement of solicitation and presentation techniques. The Regional Sales Director will develop, recommend and implement processes to ensure measurable results on four primary drivers of success: 1) customer loyalty; 2) product penetration and market share of core products; 3) building new relationships – dealerships, products & business partners; 4) maximizing profitability and margin.
Responsibilities and duties are as follows, but not limited to:
  • Consult and advise with Dealer Principal to ensure a clear understanding of all dealer participation structures and wealth building options as well as claims trends and loss ratio reviews and analysis.
  • Develop, recommend and assist with implementing effective sales and marketing strategies, and product development that support the year over year growth, and the image and success of GSFSGroup.
  • Establish monthly product objectives; develop and implement marketing, promotions and incentives strategy to support objectives while responsibly leveraging resources and budgets to ensure achievement of objectives.
  • Maintain daily interaction with the District Managers, coordinating and directing the appropriate sales activities where opportunities exist or develop to include:
    • manage income develop and analysis studies
    • drive performance to increase acquisition and monthly sales/revenue objectives
    • develop training and development plans for each dealership to maximize the use of Compass Team vs. outside companies
    • assist with delivery, explanation and action plans for loss management reports, underwriting and investment income information, as needed
    • develop and implement processes and procedures it he F& I department to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Represent the needs and issues of the District Manager team in all inter-departmental and management meetings.
  • Coordinate senior management input into sales, income development and relationship building activities.
  • Develop and implement methods and processes to validate accomplishments of the GSD sale team, aggressively and professionally generate sales opportunities and secure industry respect for GSFSGroup as an industry leader.
  • Assist with solicitation of GSFS products to new dealership accounts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises one or more employees in this position. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; plus ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in finance and insurance, wholesale and retail, and dealer sales experience is required. Knowledge and understanding of dealership F&I and Sales departments, dealer and dealership sales skills and advanced level time management skills required. Knowledge of dealer participation programs/structures, wealth building and reinsurance.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations*: Valid driver’s license; all state and industry required licenses and certifications.
Physical Demands:
The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day; and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate is frequently required to travel to other sites, including out-of-state, where applicable, for business purposes. A large amount of this travel involves driving a company vehicle. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The job requires significant domestic travel (up to 50% of the time). As a result, the duties for this position occur in various places including, but not limited to an office environment, car dealerships, and semi-industrial settings. The associate will regularly be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, areas in which moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals are present, and outside weather conditions. The noise level for this position will vary and the associate may be exposed to loud noise levels.
