CarOffer is rapidly growing our team and seeking a Dealer Sales Manager to engage with our dealership clientele. A Dealer Sales Manager has prior experience working in an automotive dealership and will provide strategic consultation to clients around their acquisition, management, and sale of vehicle inventory. The primary focus is driving platform utilization amongst assigned dealer accounts by encouraging the disposal and acquisition of inventory through the CarOffer platform. Along with a guaranteed draw, a Dealer Sales Manager can earn big commissions based on dealer-clientele performance. Excellent compensation with uncapped commissions and $200k+ earning potential. Responsibilities:
- Drive sales and purchases through the CarOffer platform amongst assigned dealer accounts.
- Optimize inventory performance and investment returns through the analysis of inventory, including:
- Performing ad-hoc market analysis to identify value-add opportunities for improved performance
- Assessing and analyzing Dealer inventories, current pricing data, and prior performance in preparation for ongoing phone consultations
- Maintain knowledge of vehicle values, industry market conditions, and customers’ inventory, business priorities, and challenges
- Deliver exceptional customer service by:
- Taking ownership of problems that a dealer account may have and ensuring that an equitable solution is reached for all parties involved.
- Providing coaching to dealership team members to improve performance and utilization of CarOffer’s products and services
- Building solid relationships founded on trust with dealer clients and CarOffer team members
- Conducting weekly review meetings with dealership executives to maintain buy-in and track success with the CarOffer suite of products
Skills/Requirements:
- Experience in the retail automotive industry is required.
- Expert communication and phone skills are a must. Successful candidates thrive in an environment where 80% of the day is spent on calls managing existing relationships and driving sales.
- Experience in a client-facing, consultative role is strongly preferred
- Strong analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative), strong risk assessment skills
- Advanced financial acumen and ability to evaluate acquisition, holding, and inventory turn costs
- Proficiency in advanced Excel skills and analysis
- Automotive Purchasing experience a plus.
- A solid knowledge of dealership sales and inventory acquisition operations (pre-owned specifically) is a plus.
- Additional consideration will be given to candidates with prior experience as a General Manager, General Sales Manager, Used Car Manager, Sales Manager, BDC Manager, or Remarketing Manager.
