Full description of the position

Los Angeles, Ventura County Field Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Representative Position

Field Sales Engineer/Technical Sales Representative will manage an assigned customer base, qualified leads and early-stage sales development. Sales Engineers will provide technical input for our Manufacturers solutions. He/she will also provide technical solutions that will accommodate current and future customer requirements. Proactively identifies customer prospects maximized through planning and organizing sales call schedule. It is our objective to help identify the technical solution based on our line-card (selling the complete solution) required to meet customer requirements. The Field Sales Engineer/Representative will be able to work from either an existing opportunity or a lead, focused on helping remove sales barriers, by assessing client needs and applying creative technical solutions. In that process they will provide product promotion, support and production procurement support for customers. The position will also assist in training, technical assistance and professional development to our Distributor Partners.

The scope of the Field Sales Representative’s responsibilities will also include:

  • Lead management, development and sales execution
  • Opportunity/Funnel management and reporting
  • Self-generated lead research and outbound prospecting
  • Trade show and event support
  • Product promotion/demonstration and technical presentations
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
  • Additional opportunity to manage distributor accounts.

Key skills and experience preferred

  • Engineering degree or strong Technical Sales background
  • A track record of developing and closing business
  • Knowledge of CRM products such as [please apply online] to communicate efficiently and persuasively with a large assortment of people
  • Organization and time management skills, with an ability to cope with a fluctuating workload
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new and varied job tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Attention to detail, to ensure accurate use of internal systems and processing of information
  • Analytical, technical and problem solving skills that can be applied to real world solutions

Work Remotely

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
