Position: *Transportation Provider Liaison
Reports to: Director, Transportation Provider Relations
Location: Remote in Western NY. Monroe County preferred or surrounding area.

Summary:*
Medical Answering Service (MAS) Connects Medicaid enrollees to health care through non-emergency transportation because we believe healthier communities exist when its members have seamless access to healthcare.
The MAS Field Liaison is a critical position that will work closely with our key stakeholders, the NYS Department of Health, local and state officials, and transportation vendors to assist with the success of the NYS Medicaid transportation program. The MAS Field Liaison is responsible for the daily management of the provider network within an assigned specific geographic area. Areas of responsibility include recruitment and daily management of the provider network. You will meet regularly with transportation vendors, and government officials to address issues, provide in-service on the MAS system, review requirements of area contracts, and ensure compliance.
Major Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Foster & cultivate relationships between MAS and stakeholders within region
- Make in-person/phone/electronic connection with regional stakeholders including medical providers, transportation vendors, and/or LDSS officials regularly
- Educate medical transportation providers on the efficient use of the MAS Medicaid Transportation Management System (MTMS)
- Review Medicaid policies and procedures with stakeholders
- Maintain records of all communication with regional stakeholders
- Assumes responsibility for network development, support, improvement, and contract enforcement. Communicates with transportation providers often, visits them regularly and/or observes their operation to ensure that providers know contract requirements, adhere to contract and knowledge is gained regarding emerging problems affecting providers
- Participate in cost savings initiatives and access risk reduction projects
- Additional responsibilities to be assigned by MAS leadership team

Expectations and Success Measurements:*
- You will conduct a minimum # of interactions, weekly:
- 10 weekly in-person meetings to include, at minimum:
- 1 Top-20 Taxi provider
- 1 Top-20 Ambulette provider
- 1 Top Reassigning provider
- 40 phone/email interactions
- Review trip records in coordination with MAS ATM Team (corrections/rejections)
- You will conduct a minimum # of interactions, monthly:
- 40 in-person meetings to include, at minimum:
- 4 Top-20 Taxi providers
- 4 Top-20 Ambulette providers
- 4 Top Reassigning providers
- 1 Public Transit Agency
- 1 New Transportation Provider Onboarding Instructional Webinar (Host)
- 200 phone/email interactions
- Interact and meet with internal MAS staff to identify/develop/address regional initiatives
- Participate in annual Regional NYS NEMT Stakeholder Meetings
- Maintain current data in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
- Submit bi-weekly reports to director (to be comprised of activity documented in logs)
- Participate in weekly Field Liaison meeting

Qualifications and Experience:*
- Must live in NY State within assigned region.
- Preferred BA/BS in Logistics, or related discipline, or equivalent knowledge acquired by work 5 years work experience and training.
- Knowledge of, and experience with, transportation vendor management, preferably human service transportation, or similar transferrable experience from other positions, such as:
- Sales/Account Executive
- Public Relations
- Real Estate
- Supply Chain
- Financial Planning
- School Teacher/Administrator
- Nursing
- Social Worker
- Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem
- Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients/regions

Travel Requirements:
25% or more local travel will be required within defined NY State region
