Job Summary

Responds to customer inquiries by telephone, email, fax, or chat to provide resolution. Resolves problems and communicates solutions or requested information to the customer. Analyzes a customer’s needs and coordinates with other service or technical departments to develop and deliver an appropriate solution for each customer. Develops and maintains a deep understanding of the organization and services offered to resolve more complex inquires.

Essential Job Functions

• Supports sales efforts
• Works with customers on application and design of products and product line
• Receive and process customer requests for quotes including reviewing drawings, quality, and manufacturing requirements
• Work with purchasing and outside sourcing to obtain vendor quotes
• Support lead generation and sales initiatives
• Communicate with customers and account managers to obtain quote feedback
• Maintain and mange engineering data for products
• Performs Technical Review on new parts and part revisions
• Maintains work instructions or engineering masters
• Maintains drawing files
• Maintains inspection requirements
• Supports Customer Service, manufacturing, quality, and shipping needs
• Support overflow from customer service in handling irate customer calls when parts are late or non-conforming
• Support overflow from customer service in providing the status of their orders, request to move in and out, request to cancel, request to be notified when an order is going to ship or be late
• Maintain constant contact with engineering to ensure the proper revisions of part numbers are used, the proper quantities have been quoted, and changes are reviewed accurately.
• Coordinate with quality to ensure customers requests for PPAP’s, ISIR’s, or special certifications and labeling requests.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or Equivalent experience
