About the Role:
Basemakers is seeking an outside field sales representative for Miami,FL to join our Elite, INC 500 team. Our sales representatives are the heartbeat of the organization, so this is a very important role. The role is critical for brands’ success in-store and your ability to form relationships with key decision-makers in grocery stores is a key part of this role.
You will leverage the relationships with key grocery store decision-makers to increase the sales velocity of their portfolio in every account, upselling and suggesting ways to improve our brands’ retail footprint. The role will entail visiting approx. 8-10 grocery stores per day, using the Basemakers Way to improve the in-store presence of each of those brands. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, competitive, team-oriented, and coachable. Most importantly, they will operate with the utmost integrity.
Key Role and Responsibilities:
This is an independent role that is highly collaborative with not only store managers, but also Brand Partner Managers, District Managers and Directors. The Sales Representative is responsible for all in store presence for our brands.
In your day to day you will:
- Spend 100% of the time in the field, merchandising and selling at grocery stores for our brand portfolio
- Develop and maintain an organized list of key brands and their retailers based on portfolio needs in the respective territory.
- Capture brand data as the feet on the ground, in-store for our brand partners
- Improve the in-store presence of our portfolio by way of:
- secondary/tertiary placements,
- off-shelf placements
- new points of distribution in store Educate store managers on proper and effective merchandising and selling points (proper shelf management positions; rack, equipment, and POS placements)
Who you are:
- Positive mindset and outgoing personality
- Growth and goal oriented mentality
- Strong problem solving, analytic, influencing, and negotiation skills
- Premium selling skills are preferred (if no sales experience, must be open to feedback and willingness to learn)
- Passion to sell/represent our Brand Partners, mainly in the natural foods space
- Track record of success in a highly self-directed environment
- Maintain a high level of communication across the team
- Achieve monthly key performance indicators (KPI’s) set by District Regional Sales Manager
- Professional demeanor in working with coworkers, distributors, retail reps and consumers
- Must have valid driver's license and own vehicle to travel and transport promotional merchandise and minimal product quantities between accounts within assigned territory Must have a clean driving record, registration, and insurance.
