Smiley’s Liquor is seeking a reliable and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Sales Associate.

Responsibilities:

• Build rapport with customers and provide excellent customer service.
• Develop and retain product knowledge.
• Check identification to determine eligibility for product purchases.
• Display a friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
• Stock product and maintain displays according to planograms and merchandising standards.
• Assist customers with finding items on shelves and make recommendations according to their preferences.
• Keep the store clean and maintained in an organized manner.
• Be able to understand POS and balance the cash register.
• Accurately price and label products as needed.
• Clean and maintain parking lot by taking the trash out.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Strong listening and communications skills.
• Willingness to learn with job specific technology.
• Problem solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Exercise basic math skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of the team.
• Occasionally be able to lift up to 20 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Shift:

• 8 hour shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Louisville, KY 40218: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
