Now Hiring - Piatt - Event Sales Coordinator in Pittsburgh, PA

The Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh Downtown and Roost are looking for an Event Sales Coordinator to join their team! The Event Sales Coordinator is responsible for the sales and coordination and ensuring a smooth and successful execution of events. Roost offers a 6,000 square foot event space overlooking Market Square. From elegant wedding receptions to exquisite social and corporate events, Roost is the perfect location to elevate any occasion.

The Event Sales Coordinator attracts clients, secures event bookings, details the events and ensures customer satisfaction throughout the process. Additional responsibilities of this role include:

• Promote and sell event spaces, packages, and additional services to generate sales leads and prospect for new clients.
• Prepare and negotiate contracts, proposals, and event agreements in accordance with company policies and pricing guidelines.
• Conduct site visits and meetings with clients.
• Collaborate with the culinary and operations teams to ensure seamless event planning and execution.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to secure necessary resources for events, such as equipment, rentals, and decorations.
• Oversee event setup, manage event flow, and handle any last-minute changes or issues to ensure a flawless event experience for clients and attendees.

• Trustworthy and results-driven
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment available for all shifts
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major preferred
• Minimum one (1) year hotel/resort/event sales experience or the equivalent amount of industry experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience
