The Account Executive sells VoIP products and solutions to businesses, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and government agencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Minimum five years direct selling experience, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
- Experience with Avaya, Cisco, Mitel and FortiVoice offerings a plus.
- Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads from company database, newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites and other sources.
- Makes phone calls to current and prospective clients to set sales appointments.
- Travels primarily throughout Minneapolis market and surrounding areas including Eau Claire WI to present products and solutions to regular and prospective customers.
- Develops and maintains relationships with influential end-users, purchasing contacts and executive level decision-makers.
- Enters pertinent data on new customers as well as prospective customers into company database.
- Qualifies sales opportunities through discovery/assessment. Identifies who the Buying influencers are, who has the Authority to make the financial decision, performs a Needs Analysis and obtains the Timeline for when the system must be in place.
- Demonstrates products and solutions utilizing product demo programs and by working with technical staff to set up solution demonstrations.
- Works with inside sales to quote prices.
- Works with accounting department to provide credit terms.
- Closes sale and prepares required sales documentation (sales order, contracts, signed authorizations from clients, etc.).
- Visits client base regularly to ensure customer is satisfied, uncover new opportunities, and ensure adequate maintenance exists on current purchases.
- Investigates and resolves customer issues with service, installation and/or deliveries.
- Meet performance standards of the department (goals & objectives)

Knowledge, Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Good working knowledge of computers and related peripherals as well as good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional software.
- Various manufacturer sales certifications will need to be maintained (i.e., Microsoft, Novell, Cisco, Citrix, etc.)
- Current driver’s license with good driving history (< 2 minor violations in last 3 years; no major violations in last 5 years)
This position is a remote position in the Minneapolis, MN area. There will be traveling within this region to meet with potential customers and current customers.
(Wage: Base Wage and Commission combined)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
