Catering Sales Manager

As a Catering Sales Manager you will be responsible for seeking and securing new business and maintaining repeat customers for Arc Culinary catering service through sales, networking, public relations, and marketing/social media. The Catering Sales Manager will also be responsible for negotiating prices and helping clients select their menu for upcoming events. Having a personable and highly professional demeanor is necessary for this position along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

What does a Catering Sales Manager do?
- Communicate and direct team members to execute catering events with attention to detail
- Respond to guests requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
- Draft and execute contracts between parties
- Ensure special requests are fulfilled
- Remain in close contact with clients and potential clients from the planning stages and continued after events.
- Meet sales goals; target number of bookings and/or client contacts.
- Ensure execution of the developed sales strategies, plans and advertising or promotional programs.
- Ensure activities are in accordance with the developed sales objectives.
- Evaluate and provide analysis to management for new products and local market opportunities.

What are the requirements?
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Prior experience in a sales and marketing role in a hospitality setting.
- Minimum of five years’ experience as a Catering Manager, or equivalent industry experience.
- Well versed in menu planning, food knowledge, contract negotiating, business planning and execution.
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) Certification preferred.
- Experience using CRM/event management software. Caterease preferred.
