Now Hiring - Atlantic Union Bank - Financial Services Treasury Management - Technical Sales Officer (Hybrid) in Richmond, VA

This position is responsible for augmenting Atlantic Union Bank’s efforts to build out the delivery of strategic technical payment products via increased client penetration efforts. In this role the officer will support sales efforts as well as contribute to the effective onboarding of these solutions and capabilities. Additionally, responsibilities will include contributing to ongoing development of key technical product deliverables in building out the bank’s complement of technical services and payment strategies.

Position Accountabilities

• Direct client interaction to align AUB’s technical payment capabilities/strategy with our clients and prospects.
• Be able to speak in detail and assist clients throughout the sales cycle: initial call through implementation/handoff to service.
• Work directly with Operations, Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and Digital to create and execute AUB’s payment strategy.
• Prepares and conducts technical sales briefings for clients. Develops potential technical specifications, pricing considerations and contract requirements.
• Review and analyze complex, operational, and /or technical requirements and challenges to position and deliver payment processing solutions.
• Investigates new applications or improvements to products with clients.
• Coordinate responses to RFPs where technical and security questions are asked.
• Coordinate the client experience as a project manager where multiple vendors (either at the client or within AUB) during the onboarding process.

Organizational Relationship

Position reports to the Director of Treasury Services.

Position Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 6-8 years previous job- related experience in financial services sales with a concentration in Treasury Services / Cash Management sales or Technical Sales/Product Consulting role.
• Experience in building effective client minded sales strategies which impact the business line
• Experience with strategic internal projects that drive technology transformation (APIs, payment hubs, and data transmissions

Knowledge & Skills

• Working knowledge of Treasury Services / Cash Management products including APIs, SFTP transmissions
• Projects enthusiasm, optimism, and determination

• Proactively builds trusted relationships with key partners
• Ability to be a change agent
• Excellent written, oral, interpersonal skills
• Ability to think strategically and work independently
• Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint

Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
