Professional Turf Products is the South Central United States premier provider of outdoor beautification solutions. We provide exceptional products from the Toro Company as well as many other topflight manufacturers. We sell to independent dealers, golf courses, schools, municipalities, parks, landscape and irrigation contractors. We cover Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and parts of Louisiana, Arkansas and Missouri. We also have six locations to help provide you the best service. Euless, Texas (D/FW); Houston, TX; Selma, TX; Belton, TX; Broken Arrow, OK and Lenexa, KS.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Sales of central satellite control systems, large turf products. golf/commercial pump stations and water quality management products
- Work to manage and grow irrigation/pump service business in designated territory including being called upon to perform the service work when needed. (central control setup/programming/training, control system troubleshooting, weather station/sensor setup, pump troubleshooting, mapping)
- Work with Irrigation Sales Manager, Pump & Service Support, Service Technicians and Golf/Grounds Account Executives to ensure that customer’s needs are met
- Manage the golf project process from sale to completion
- Provide end-users with after the sale support as a facilitator of service and warranty items
- Maintain Golf/Commercial irrigation and pump project tracking documents
- Attend pre-bid and bid opening meetings
- Interface with end-users, contractors, architects, and consultants throughout the bid process
- Take the lead in demo and sales presentations when necessary
- Participate in trade organizations at the local and national level
- Attend pre-approved training events (PTP Sales Training, Toro U, NSN Training, PSN School, etc.)
- Maintain and build relationships with architects, consultants, and specifiers
- Attain TCEQ Landscape Irrigators License
- Manage voice and email
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
- College degree (preferred) combined with defined experience in the field
- Highly self-motivated individual
- Must be a self-starter and work with little supervision
- Experience with Excel and MS Word is required
- Be a team player that is ready to pitch in on any task needing assistance
