Now Hiring - NOV - Energy Mining And Utilities Technical Product Specialist in Houston, TX

Responsibilities:

• Generate drilling equipment/systems proposals in support of outside sales by working with PLM and engineering to pick the best equipment configuration to meet customer specifications/requirements.
• Work with Product Line Management (PLM), Engineering, and Sales groups to translate business and product requirements into configurable commercial product models - create, maintain, test, and release commercial product models for configurable products/systems in the sales quotation application.
• Aid in the establishment of processes and policies governing cost estimation and master price list development, maintenance, and audit.
• Align with stakeholders to ensure the proper execution of global processes in pricing management (including cost estimation and master price list).
• Aid in setting up Product Cost Estimates within the sales quotation application (COMPASS) using data from multiple sources and set up initial master price lists, as required.
• Perform audits of item master data including commercial description, price, and cost estimates.
• Aid in developing metrics and reporting for cost and price history, maintenance activity, and pricing trends.
• Promote collaborative review and validation of pricing factors across functional groups.
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and present recommendations to increase process efficiencies in support of business alignment according to NOV policy.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College/University in business or technically related degree
• Knowledge and experience in areas of report development and maintenance
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills – Highly Desired
• Excellent Communication skills (verbal and written)
• Experience in Oilfield Drilling or Service Industry a plus
• Experience with configurator applications a plus
• Knowledge of business/configurator rules a plus
