Full description of the position

Description:

Prestige Wines Wisconsin is looking for passionate individuals to join our Madison fine wine sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing relationships with customers and increasing sales and distribution of our wines in both on and off premise accounts. Duties include maintaining and managing a group of accounts within the specific territory, along with opening new accounts within that territory. This position requires a strong knowledge of wines from around the world, as well as excellent organizational skills.

This position is responsible for promoting and selling our portfolio of fine wines to existing and potential new customers. Their expertise to understand customer needs, provide suitable recommendations, and guide them through the sales process will be used daily. This role requires exceptional communication and negotiation skills to build strong relationships with customers, meeting and exceeding their expectations.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Previous industry experience in sales or in a customer-facing role preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate product features and benefits effectively.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the beverage industry and understanding of market trends and customer needs is a plus.
  • Proficient computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must have a valid Wisconsin driver license, clean driving record, a reliable method of transportation and acceptable insurance levels.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:·

  • Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate recommendations.
  • Conduct in-depth product presentations to customers, showcasing the benefits and features of our offerings.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of leads through various channels such as cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events.
  • Build and nurture relationships with customers, ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the sales cycle.
  • Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets, contributing to the overall revenue growth of the organization.
  • Continuously stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and product knowledge to effectively position our offerings in the market.
  • Prepare accurate sales reports, forecasts, and documentation as required.
