Ion Optics is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our team in Albany, NY.

Job Description:

The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for prospecting potential customers and working with a sales engineer to close sales. This position requires an individual who is comfortable working with a high volume of leads and sales professionals. This position is also responsible for building relationships with clients and prospects, as well as managing the sales process from start to finish.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prospecting new clients and prospects through cold calling, emailing, and networking
• Developing strategies for closing sales through prospecting, networking, and building relationships with potential clients
• Managing the sales process from start to finish including preparing proposals, presenting, and closing the sale
• Maintaining records of all sales activity and leads
• Meeting or exceeding monthly quota on sales calls and meetings
• Maintaining a productive office environment including keeping trash cans empty, greeting visitors, etc.
• Performing other duties as assigned by management

Education and Experience Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in a sales role preferred but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Computer skills required (Microsoft Office Suite)
• Must possess excellent organizational skills, excellent communication skills (both verbal & written), excellent customer service skills (both verbal & written), a friendly disposition, a strong work ethic, a desire to learn new skills, a desire to collaborate with team members, and an ability to work independently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36,308.17 - $43,725.97 per year
