Role Summary
503B Account Managers serve as the primary contact for prescriber and medical practice
accounts. They are responsible for nurturing accounts and helping to find more
opportunities to build relationships and increase revenue generated by prospective and
current accounts. They play a prominent role in the process of enhancing prospective and
current accounts customer service experience to foster long-term satisfaction.
- They work with all accounts new and old to find new opportunities.
- They take part in the diagnostic and problem-solving process with strategic
solutions.
- They employ innovative techniques to build rapport with the potential
customers.
- They serve as the pharmacy representative for the practices and contact
points for the future and current accounts.
Prioritization Hierarchy
I. Communication - Regular Check In and Account Follow Up
II. Account Creation – Inputting, Welcome Email, Billing, Order Process Educating,
and Follow Up
III. Backorder Management
IV. Up-Selling and Cross-Selling - Promotion to New and Existing Accounts
Account Management Duties
I. Enter Incoming Account Forms into Hubspot and Eagle Management System
a. Add the new account to HubSpot
i. First check to see if they are in HubSpot before creating a new profile.
b. Send Welcome Email and connect appropriate sales representative
c. Check In via email/phone every 30 days
d. Log all interactions in HubSpot under the company profile.
II. New Doctor Report
a. Run the New Doctor Report weekly from Management Software
b. Send Welcome email to every new account
III. Inbound Prescriber Requests
a. Triage inbound sales leads to the appropriate sales representative.
b. Follow up on all email or voicemail questions and loop in appropriate sales representative within one - three business hours.
c. Log interactions within HubSpot.
IV. Conflict resolution
a. Connect the prescriber with the lead technician that can resolve their issue.
b. Follow up again every 72 business hours until the issue is resolved.
V. Communication Plan
a. Connect with VIP/Top Revenue accounts weekly
b. Create a monthly communication and campaign plan and submit it to your direct supervisor.
c. Analyze Practice Trending Reports
i. Communicate fall-off with assigned sales representative to game plan a strategy to maintain the business
VI. If applicable, conduct Order Trainings
a. Educated new accounts on how to properly place orders for Eagle products
VII. Incoming Sales Leads
a. Complete HubSpot Company profile, add Contacts, and create events with notes
b. Send initial emails and set up the introduction to the appropriate sales representative
c. Log all inbound and outbound calls in HubSpot
VIII. Up-Selling and Cross-Selling Campaigns
a. Regularly conduct targeted upselling campaigns with current accounts to drive new business.
IX.Sales Follow Up
a. Assist the sales representatives with prompt follow-up
b. Always CC a sales representative on any requests for order forms or pricing
c. Scheduling calls/meetings with practice and sales representative as needed
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of pharmacy industry and general economics of the business
- Experience in outside or inside sales
- Exceptional interpersonal, platform, and written communication skills
- Strong phone presence and experience in a high call volume environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to build/maintain customer relationships remotely by being proficient with web presentation tools
- Excellent work ethic, including a personal drive to excel independently
- Solid PC skills including Microsoft software
- Proficient in utilizing CRM, virtual selling platforms, and other tools
- Experience in compounding pharmacy (preferred, not required)
- Must possess the ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining positive open communication and collaboration with coworker
