Full description of the position

ABOUT THIS POSITION
The VP, Hospital & Health Systems is responsible for all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing the firm’s sales engagement strategy and achieving revenue targets, in collaboration with the SVP, H & HS. Specific responsibilities include business and market development and execution; setting and executing on strategic direction for sales; hiring and directing the day-to-day activities of sales staff.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Sales Knowledge
  • Managing Processes - Adopting company policies; utilizing CRM system; adhering to sales process; understanding sales methodologies; defining handoffs; measuring process output; providing specific governance and guidance around process adherence
  • Establish Executive Sponsorship - Making connections with executive level buyers; Understanding executive level business needs and objectives; aligning actions to those needs/objectives; conducting boardroom discussions; placing executive sponsors in key meetings; spending time cultivating executive sponsors in partner organizations and internally

  • Judgment & Decision Making - Reacting when under time or other pressure; weighing conflicting goals and commitments and making decisions based on core values; exhibiting wisdom in counsel; judging character; reading market and client situations and internal company situations.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • 15-20+ years of successful sales leadership at the organization level for a 250+ employee company, including accountability for people and performance management
  • 10+ years successful sales execution, demonstrable by meeting/exceeding quotas
  • Track record of successfully developing and executing cross-functional Go-To-Market strategies
  • Track record of developing and maintaining key relationships with executives, buyers, procurement, and other decision makers
  • Proven ability to grow existing accounts in addition to obtaining new business
  • Experience making decisions and measuring results using quantitative and qualitative information/data
  • Healthcare Information Technology or Healthcare Management industry experience preferred. In lieu of healthcare experience, demonstrate the ability to rapidly ramp up product, customer, and industry/market knowledge
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent with a major in business or marketing

The department attracts new prospective clients, builds, and maintains current client relationships, improves profitability, and increases brand loyalty. Team members must possess a strong, consultative approach, while being able to effectively communicate the benefits of a cloud-based healthcare payments platform. The Growth department is split into two divisions: Health Systems + Hospitals (HS+H) and Ambulatory. The Health Systems + Hospitals division includes large health systems at a multi-level local or national scale. The Ambulatory division includes organizations such as provider groups and physician and specialty practices.
