Business Development and Sales Manager – Houston
To further develop our ability to connect with the offshore wind markets we seek a Business Development and Sales Manager that has affinity with the marine and offshore industries. Understanding the dynamics within these markets and aligning with the demands of our clients is key to the success of the company.
As part of the GustoMSC US office and working with our Sales & Business Development team in the Netherlands you will be actively promoting our vision and executing our strategy. You will be able to engage with key stakeholders in our markets, supported by a world class group of technical professionals.
Main responsibilities
- Generate business opportunities and develop leads relevant for GustoMSC, in the Renewables Fixed Offshore Wind market.
- Conduct the sale of Vessel Design and Equipment.
- Maintain and expand a stakeholder network within the market.
- Capture and report business development leads.
- Identify client specific needs and translate these into tailored GustoMSC solutions.
- Connect the technical team to the client and/or relevant stakeholders.
- Follow-up proposals and conclude contracts for our vessel designs and equipment.
- Understand and protect the value of the company’s assets: Know-how and IP.
Strategy, marketing, and business development
- Develop strategies for the fixed offshore wind market.
- Execute the sales & business development plans in liaison with the sales and business development team.
- Identify and introduce market opportunities and new product offerings.
- Contribute to prioritization of required product and technology developments.
- Acquire and distribute market intelligence and company feedback.
Experience and skills
- BSc/ MSc degree or equivalent.
- Broad experience of Sales & Business Development related disciplines with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- International experience in GustoMSC related markets is key.
- Able to understand drivers at various technical disciplines, a technical background is a plus.
- Good understanding of marketing concepts and positioning approaches.
- Good team mentality, commitment, pro-active and cooperative.
- Strong communicator.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
Network
- Maintain and develop client base.
- Your active network within the offshore marine industry is beneficial.
