About the job
Within US Sales Company Food and Water Division, you will establish sales processes and guidelines to promote and sell Alfa Laval Product and services.
- Execute service programs and ensure they are successful within the region by supporting the entire lifecycle of the current and the US Legacy Products.
- Focus on End-User OEM Part Usage, while engaging Distribution in growing the service business, with a majority travel to drive End-User Conversion to OEM Spares
- Work with the BDMs and Regional Managers to find, develop and grow Service Providers in the regions
- Execute regional sales and marketing plan for the service programs developed locally and centrally
- Grow spares for all HFH products through the use of Channel Partners and Service Providers to include Store Room OEM Part Set-up, Maintenance Procedures at End Users.
- Leverage Installed Base and Ship-To information to develop target end users.
- Develops and maintains significant knowledge of the market and, in particular, the growing strength of competitors, Non-OEM providers
- Inquire and convert Non-OEM providers to OEM product at customer sites during visits
- Traveling with BDM to customer sites with ALFA LAVAL equipment to help convert them to OEM spares and service if they are using Non-OEM providers
- Gauges the technical acumen of the sales team & distribution partners on the service offering in question and supports training to enhance as needed.
- Follow-up on all large Service & Spares Project Opportunities
What you know
- Bachelor’s Degree – preferred in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering or related experience.
- Ideally the candidate will have experience in the sale and marketing of products via distribution channels.
- Experienced with multiple channels of distribution including direct sales, national accounts, distributors, and direct marketing.
- Experience must reflect a keen sense of urgency to making things happen through effective planning; and the commitment to monitor, control, follow-up and take corrective actions.
- Knowledge of Food Processing, Pharmaceutical/ Biopharmaceutical, Cosmetic, Beverage, Dairy and Cheese industry markets, companies, trends and applications
- 3 years or experience preferred.

- Requires a solid balance of analytical, strategic and commercial skills.
- Team player with strong evidence of leadership and motivational skills, as influence over those without direct authority is key to program success.
- Creativity and resourcefulness are essential qualities for this position.

- The candidate must be articulate, persuasive and self-confident, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to execute innovative marketing and sales programs
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:
- Physical Requirements (lifting, climbing, standing, equipment and/or motor vehicle use):
Travel primarily by car/plane. Lifting/using product demos ranging from 25- 75 lbs
- Environmental Factors (hazardous materials, work location, work surfaces, exposure):
Environmental factors vary by customer site visited.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS (i.e., travel, signing of Non-Competition and/or Invention Agreements):
Travel = 50% overnight travel primarily in US, (Eastern) with some travel to Alfa Laval International Sites
