The Position
We are ambitious and have big goals over the next 10 years. To help us reach them, we need a Business Development Manager to join our team. The Business Development Manager will develop business plans and sales strategy to ensure the attainment of the organization’s sales goals and profitability. Your Role
- Identify and target new business opportunities in the rental industry
- Create and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure successful project management and delivery
- Develop and maintain relationships with members, potential members, industry organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Manage sponsorships at industry/trade conferences and local events, including providing on-site support and building relationships with members and prospects.
- Execute the organization’s strategic initiatives and brand deployment through creative and innovative marketing programs. Assist in creation of marketing materials, such as brochures, presentations, and proposals, to support business development efforts. Identify opportunities for content marketing/thought leadership.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to inform business development strategies and identify potential areas for growth.
- Monitor and report on member demographics
- Maintain and log key activities (proposals, events, business development activities) in CRM system.
- Monitor and report on business development metrics, including revenue growth, market share, and member satisfaction.
- Oversee, coordinate, and delegate certain work relating to business development tasks and projects.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements
- Assist on special projects, as needed.
Your Experience
- Undergraduate degree required; Marketing or Business degree preferred.
- Proven experience (3 years minimum) in business development, sales, marketing and/or sales operations support preferred, preferably in the real estate or rental industry.
- Ability to analyze market trends and identify business opportunities.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint & MS Suite and CRM software to manage customer relationships.
- Commitment to excellence, attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills.
- Positive attitude, versatility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
- Experience interacting with external prospects and supporting internal teammates.
Compensation
- Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
